Information we handle

When you browse, our hosting provider may process technical request information, such as your IP address, browser details and requested pages, to deliver and protect the site. Lookvelle also records first-party interactions such as look views and shop-link clicks, with page path, device category, referring site and campaign parameters when available. We do not operate a public customer account or take payment on Lookvelle. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send.

Lookvelle may use essential cookies for administrator sign-in and browser session storage to remember catalog pagination. Our first-party interaction tracking does not require an advertising cookie. A retailer you visit may use its own cookies and tracking under its own policy.

Shopping links and third parties

A shop link sends you to a third-party retailer. Lookvelle records the outbound interaction, and the destination may include affiliate attribution. Some shop links may earn Lookvelle a commission. The retailer controls its checkout, payment, fulfillment and privacy practices; review its terms and privacy notice before purchasing.

Instagram interactions

Our Instagram integration can handle the professional account’s ID and username, published media and mapping IDs, comment IDs, timestamps and webhook event metadata. When configured to handle comments, it examines comment text to identify the standalone word LOOK. The current application discards the comment text before saving the event record; it may use a commenter’s username transiently to limit an owner-controlled test. If Private Replies are separately enabled, it may send one reply through Meta and retain the reply text, status and provider message ID for duplicate prevention and operational records. Lookvelle does not need your Instagram password or access token for a data request.

Instagram webhook ingestion and Private Replies are currently disabled in Production. Merely viewing this website does not subscribe your Instagram account to the integration. Meta also processes Instagram activity under its own policies.

Why, where and how long

We use this information to run and secure the site, understand which looks and links are useful, attribute affiliate referrals, and—only when the relevant features are enabled—operate and troubleshoot Instagram comment-to-reply workflows. Hosting and infrastructure providers, including Vercel and Supabase, process information for these purposes; Meta and retailers process data when you interact with their services. Provider processing may occur in other countries, subject to their terms and safeguards.

We keep operational records only as needed for these purposes, security, dispute handling and applicable obligations, and review deletion requests individually. There is currently no automatic 90-day purge of Instagram event or reply records in Production. Hosting logs and backups may follow provider-specific retention periods. We restrict access to administrative data and use HTTPS and server-side credentials, but no system is perfectly secure.

Your choices and requests

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction or deletion, object to or restrict certain processing, or raise a concern with a privacy authority. Email lookvelle@gmail.com with enough context for us to locate the relevant information. We may need to verify your connection to the data and may retain limited records where required or permitted by law. See our Data Deletion instructions.

We may update this policy when our services or practices change. The effective date above identifies this version; material changes will be reflected on this page.
